Tensions rise between Captain America/Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) and the other Avengers when global governments initiate an act to regulate all superhuman activity because of human casualties in their previous missions.

Iron Man/Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) feels guilty and believes superheroes should register, while Steve believes in the principles of freedom and has a clear mistrust of the government. The events put a strain on the friendship and eventually, The Avengers.

Meanwhile, Steve meets up with an old friend, Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan), who's in trouble. He's been brainwashed to be an assassin and has no control of his actions. His life is now in danger as several people and agencies want him dead. Steve stands behind him, but not all the Avengers think his association with Bucky is a good idea.

Free State of Jones

A Mississippi blacksmith named Newton Knight (Matthew McConaughey) is working as a nurse during the American Civil War when his terrified young nephew Daniel (Jacob Lofland) shows up. His family's home has been looted by soldiers and the young boy was told he was drafted, but rather than stay with a company where he knew no one, Daniel decides to search for his Uncle Newt.

Newt joins Daniel in battle for the sole purpose of keeping him out of harm's way, but his attempts prove futile when Daniel is hit by an enemy bullet and dies, despite Newt's frantic efforts to save him.

Disillusioned, Newt deserts and inspires several fellow soldiers, as well as runaway slaves, to join him in his anti-Confederate rebellion. The uprising eventually leads Jones County, Mississippi to break free from the shackles of Confederacy and establishes Newton as a fervent and caring leader.

During his epic fight, the defiant Newt falls in love with a slave named Rachel (Gugu Mbatha-Raw).

But nothing can prepare them for the aliens' next attack — and only the ingenuity of ESD director David Levinson (Jeff Goldblum), Jake and a few other brave men and women can bring our world back from the brink of extinction.

Now You See Me 2

Meanwhile, Thaddeus Bradley (Morgan Freeman), who wound up in jail due to the magicians, vows his revenge from his prison cell. During their sold-out performance in New York City, their show is hijacked and their boss, Dylan Rhodes (Mark Ruffalo) orders them to get off the stage. They exit the building and drop into a chute. When they arrive at the end of the chute, they're surprised to find they're in China.

It turns out that Bradley is working with unethical tech magnate Walter Mabry (Daniel Radcliffe), who demands that The Four Horsemen steal the key to every computer system on the planet.

Now Leo and Charlene are cast out into chaos at the hands of the New Founding Fathers of America and must fight to survive alongside a group of anti-Purge rebels.

X-Men: Apocalypse

Ruling Egypt thousands of years ago, En Sabah Nur, also known as Apocalypse (Oscar Isaac), was the first mutant in existence. Betrayed by his worshippers, he was entombed, while his followers, the Four Horsemen, were destroyed. Centuries later, in 1983, he awakens to find the world is not as he left it. He believes mankind to be corrupt and weak, and seeks to destroy all humans and mutants in order to build anew.

He recruits a grieving Magneto (Michael Fassbender), who just lost his wife and child, as well as other wayward mutants to create this new world order. Charles Xavier, now Professor X (James McAvoy), and Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) must now lead a team of young X-Men to fight against Apocalypse and the inevitable destruction of the Earth.
